Help to configure ports in Microsoft Windows XP

Alongside Windows Microsoft has spent equal share of time on developing ICF or better known as Internet Connection Firewall. This program lend a hand in securing the Windows enabled machines by managing the ports which foresee the data’s received and sent from your machine. But during some scenarios some ports will be left by ICF, this is done by default due to the program that runs this application. As you know there are some programs that can only work on certain ports. If those parts aren’t configured in ICF, then your program may not work well. Microsoft support centers have developed a set of instructions which will help you to manually open these ports and configure it as per the requirement. These instructions will make your life easier by opening new ports for those much needed programs.
